Sakson is a horse that combines the bravery of endurance and racing lines but also the beauty of those meritorious in show breeding. His sire, the Janów Podlaski-bred El-Vis, ran 4 seasons competing as many as 42 times. Among his bravest racing progeny we find the stallions Azylant, Nantes or the mare Safija, who finished most of their starts in paid places.

El-Vis, a son of the Russian originating Visbaden bred in Tersk and exported for breeding in Hungary from where he was also leased to Poland, competed successfully in endurance riding as well.

El-Vis is a son of Etnografia, a great broodmare, grandmother of such stars as the multi-champion, among others, Reserve Champion of the Nations Cup and Top Ten of the World Championships – Etnologia, or the dam of the private bred show veteran and sire of show horses – Etnodrons Psyche.

Whereas in Polish and world breeding Visbaden himself came to prominence primarily as the father of the Janów Podlaski’s mare Pętla – representative of the famous ‘P’ line from this stud, but also known as the mother of outstanding stallions, horses of correct conformation and iron-like health.

Among her sons we find the lovely: Prado, Poligon and Pentagram, who were proven notonly in shows but also under saddle, Pentagram being one of the better running horses of his crop.

On the other hand, the most famous offspring of Pętla turned out to be Pogrom – hailed not only as Polish Champion but also as the first ever Triple Crown Champion in the USA, winner of the National Championship, the Scottsdale Show and the Las Vegas World Cup.

On his dam's side, Sakson is a representative of the Saletra female line – she was a price record holder at one of the first auctions – 76.000 USD in 1976, sold to the USA. In spite of this sale, this line produced in Poland reliable horses such as Sylwan or Sadan, from this line also comes the bravely running track mare Słonka, bred by Bogusław Dąbrowski, who in turn became famous as the mother of the show champion – Szanta, purchased by Falborek Arabians.

In addition, Sakson's great-grandfather on his dam's side is the Triple Crowned on the Racecourse, Racehorse of the Year – Europejczyk, and his grandfather is Borek, also a racehorse champion, highly regarded in the endurance lines.

Sakson successfully began his career in Endurance Riding competitions by participating twice in 80 km competitions in 2022.

In that very year of 2022, at the 80 km competition in Dolina Gawora, Sakson won the title of Vice-Champion of Poland for Young Horses at his age of 6.

In 2023, Sakson took 5th place in the CEI 1* (100 km) competition in Walewice.

In 2024, Sakson started in LovEnPeas colors under Martyna Kaminska, wining his consecutive start on a distance of 100 km in the CEI 1* class in a FEI International Competition in Kościelna Wieś, which took place along the Polish Senior Championships and the National Endurance Competition (CEN). Now Sakson is fully qualified to compete in international Endurance Riding competitions.

Sakson, owned by Piotr Kochański and trained at STS LovEnPeas Arabians, began competing in 2024 under Martyna Kaminska. She is the highest-ranked Polish competitor in the FEI Endurance Riders World Ranking (345th in the overall ranking, out of almost 3000 riders). Martyna Kamińska is a rider competing in the colours of our riding club ‘Stowarzyszenie Klub Jeździecki LovEnPeas STS’. She is a member of the Polish National Team in the discipline of endurance riding, and is ranked 1st in Poland in the Open category by the PZJ (Polish Equestrian Federation).

Martyna and Sakson, competing for our LovEnPeas Riding Club, won their second race over a distance of 100 km in the CEI 1* class at the FEI International Competition in Kościelna Wieś, held alongside the Polish Senior and Young Riders Championships and the All-Polish Competition in Sport Endurance.
