He is a young stallion of Kuhailan type carrying the traditions of flat race winners on the sire's side of his pedigree - as a son of Derby winner Don Carlos, sired by the versatile Ganges - winner of the Koheilan I Stake and out of the Oaks winner Garonna. Ganges is a multiple champion and sire of champions, used extensively in Poland, USA and Sweden in versatile breeding. Ganges' list of show titles includes Polish National Champion and Reserve Champion, US National Champion, International Champion and Best in Show in Sweden and Reserve Champion of All Nations Cup. His handsome progeny include Polish National Reserve Champion and Janów auction record holder Wieża Wiatrów (US$ 220,000), as well as other very expensive horses sold from Poland such as Zulejka (€ 205,000) and Zlota Wieża (€ 85,000). Amongst his best racing descendants, we can mention above all the Derby winner Don Carlos, the winner of the Michalow and European Stakes - Ghazallah or the winner of the Borek Stake - Zlatan.
From the dam's side, Zi Carlos Ł is out of strong, big-bodied and regularly used in sports mare Zina by Kurozwęki State Stud bred stallion Egzamin. Zina is a daughter of the mare Zwrotka, whose name ("turn" in Polish) best describes the performance traits of this mare, who won many times in hunting, fox chases or participated in knight tournaments. In addition to Zina, Zwrotka also produced a full sister – showjumping Arabian mare, noble Zulajla, whose son - Zu Carlos Ł also joined our herd.
